Heartlands Rangers FC are nicknamed 'The Miners' as in the past most of the villagers worked in the local coal mines. There is also a silver statue commemorating this and I will try to upload a picture. The area is also well known as being very loyal to the Scottish football club Glasgow Rangers with most people supporting the legendary side. |
