| Looking for greatness once again |
Tomorrow starts our redemption.
Some might disagree on what I'm about to say, but we have been the best team of the Xpert League for the past 5 seasons. "But you ended 5th last season" you may say, but for those who are educated on this game, you may know the reason why. It's not rocket science how this escalated by the last third of the season, and unfortunately when that happens there is nothing one can do.
Before the last fixture, we were 3rd in the league, achieved the Round of last 16 in Cup (losing against the winner) and in the Xpert Champions League (against Lerums BK that is still playing for the big prize). Nobody would dare to say it had been a bad season, but for us it was. Nevertheless, we won the manager of the season award with 7 nominations in 14 matches.
I had said we would be willing to spend some time away from the spotlight, but that is impossible. I play for it, for the adrenaline, the emotion and the pride of winning and as long I'm manager of this historic club, we can't play any differently.
This time around, we have the chance to show once again that we are able to do more with less, being the weakest team of the division and the only one that plays entirely with their academy lads. It's an huge handicap, but we won 3 Xpert League's in a row (and almost a fourth if it had not been for the goal difference), so we proved it can be done and we will do it again sooner or later.
