Merciless Jambo sells Ming |
The season is all but over, however Gmswjambo chose to cash in late on young striker Qi Ming, who left the club for a shade over 12M econ in a deadline day deal.
Gmswjambo had been concerned that the player might fail to gain a bar in the change report. Although he was on +5 DV, he was still recovering from injury and would not have been fit to face Semper Fortis on the 11th. Add to that the fact that he had double-jumped twice since his arrival as a 16/3, and Gmswjambo decided to place him on the market with only a day and a half of bidding possible.
As it turned out he did gain a bar in the mini-CR, but Gmswjambo is quick to remind fans that he did not sell a 20/10 with aerial ability for a song. "If we'd kept him he'd have been a ten-skiller, yes, but he'd have been 21 years old. And chances are he would have gone on to be a 22/10. For me, it's still a good bit of business."
With over 22M now in the kitty, Gmswjambo is looking forward to investing in once more in the midfield come the opening of the transfer window.
