Economic Girlymen FC
Division 4f, Dream League
Manager: Pacific.Panache
Weekly words: Round 6
Welcome to weekly words, the only press release that takes social distancing seriously, just like one particular team this week.  Let's dive into Division 5:11 once more.

America Team 0 - 5 The Blue Coltranes
The bottom team were never expected to win this match, but their fans will be dismayed by the lack of fight shown by AmericaTeam, whose "defence" took social distancing to a whole new level.  Jack Avery opened the scoring after just three minutes, and Leigh Allot and Martin Bång made it 3-0 by half time.  Second half substitute Rick Woodhouse added two more to wrap up the points for The Blue Coltranes, who had the chances to win by a lot more.

M.U.F.C. 4 - 0 Economic Girlymen
The match of the round turned out to be a fizzer as the hosts proved far too strong in the battle of the promotion pretenders.  Tim Dobson headed home the first after just two minutes, before using his head for the second just before the break.  Dobson completed his hattrick with a neat close-range finish on 56 minutes, before Kerkko Sastamoinen's free kick rounded out the scoring on 79 minutes.  Dobson even had time to have another strike disallowed five minutes from time.

Tibi 23 1 - 1 TheMaggotHeads
This was a chance for one of these teams to move up the table, but in the event neither was able to.  The visitors had the better of a low quality match, but feel behind when Rusty McKeever's long range effort put Tibi in front.  Carasario Traversa sprinted clear of a static defence to level for TheMaggotHeads in stoppage time.  Tibi responded to their awful performance by sacking "manager" Guest2181729.

Big Brown Bears 2 - 3 Vadstena United
Vadstena retain their 100% record, but only after receiving an almighty fright from the unheralded Bears.  Jona Ares gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, only for Jon Seabury to reply within 120 seconds for Vadstena.  Lee Symington received his marching orders for the leaders after he stabbed Hannes Abrahamsson, who was mortally wounded by still able to play on.

Homer Robson then gave United the lead with a neat finish on 58 minutes.  Basarab Butnaru thought he had levelled for the Bears five minutes later, but the referee disagreed and ruled it out.   Duarte dos Mas did manage to level for the Bears on 85 minutes, but Jon Seabury got his second from long range in the 88th minute to give Vadstena their hardest won three points of the season.

MVP:  Ademir Bernardo is making a habit of this, but he held Vadstena United's defence together when they went a man down against a very determined Big Brown Bears.

Golden Boot:  A hattrick for M.U.F.C.'s Tim Dobson ensured he took home this award.  He could even afford to have a strike disallowed.

Dirty Daddy:   Finally an effort worthy of this award.  Vadstena United's Lee Symington received a straight red card for violent conduct after stabbing an opponent.  Clearly the foulest player of the afternoon.

Next Week:  Next week sees Tibi 23 hosting a much improved Big Brown Bears, M.U.F.C. should continue their recent good form when they travel to TheMaggotHeads, Economic Girlymen FC get a chance to get back into form against the training cones from Team America, and the top two face off in the match of the day:  Vadstena United v The Blue Coltranes.
