Big Changes Needed At FC Papin |
After a turbulent season, a sacked manager and languishing at the bottom of the 6:30 league table, FC Papin were put on the market for new investors/owners and on Monday they were finally sold to Rossoneri Investment Holdings.
The CEO of this company, Mr P Maldini, gave a brief statement after today's 2-0 away win to Beasts of Burden:
"A warm welcome to you all. I will make this statement brief, over the next few weeks we will be able to share more information on our plans for this club as we have barely got our feet in the door. First of all, we have appointed Roberto as our new Manager/First Team Coach late yesterday afternoon. Roberto is very well known to us and has worked with us on previous occasions and has always been loyal and given us 100%, so this really was a no brainer for us, as we know what to expect from him.
"This was shown straight away in today's match, Roberto called a late training session with his players yesterday afternoon before the trip to Burden and it was wonderful to see the response he got from his new squad after less than 24 hours in the job. For us it was a meaningless game due to our lowly position and no relegation and also for Burden who had slim hopes of promotion, but all the same it is about moving forward in a positive manner and we have certainly done that today with our 2-0 victory.
"We have our final game in front of our home fans next week against the Hateful XI and look to send them into the off-season with some hope for the season to come. I am not going to beat about the bush though, in the off-season there will be a lot of changes: maybe with the club's name, stadium rights, players coming in and players leaving. But I can also promise you there will be a lot of positivity and investment put into this club, which will hopefully see us rise back through the divisions and put a smile back on our fans faces. I will speak to you all again very soon."
