The end of a cycle

It just wasn't to be! A loss against the Matchstick Men meant the end for Vecchie Glorie's title charge. Our result didn't matter in the end, as Stirlingshire won and went on to their well deserved title. Let's be honest here: you cannot expect to win a league title with four (five in the end) defeats, so kudos to you, Kurupted! Mid season I didn't expect THIS kind of implosion from the Fizzy Cola Bottles that even allowed us to get back into the mix, but hey, even that wasn't enough to help us out. Just a single day later we once again crashed out of the XCL against The Outcasts. Overall we had more chances, but lost to a strong side 1-2. The semis and the final after the change report would've been a incredibly tough task for this old team anyway. But hey, I tried to squeeze it out of the side. It just wasn't to be. 2 days - 2 lost titles. It is now time for a BIG rebuild that I am going to start tomorrow. For the sake of the history and success of this side: let's hope they will be back at the very top of the Xpert League one day!
