Minnows win bottom three side three nil
Friday, we welcomed bottom three side 'FC St. Pauli' hoping for another win to keep us in 2nd place and a playoff berth at the end of the season.  I chose to go with an attacking 3-5-2 formation with an offensive playing style against a team that had only won 2 games all season and those were against the teams below them in the division.

The team made a great start with Günther Schirmer giving us the lead in the 5th minute with a volley following a corner by Claus-Dieter Holzwarth.  Dennis Surmann picked up a minor injury on 12 minutes and he was substituted by Siegfried Buck as a precaution.  Günther Schirmer grabbed his second with a powerful curving long range shot in the 23rd minute with an assist going to Siegfried Buck.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to extend our lead and at half time the score remained 2-0 to the home side.

After a slow start to the second half, we extended our lead with a third from Siegfried Buck whose diving header made it 3-0 from a cross by Gerd Tiemann on 64 minutes.  In the 74th minute, we made our first unforced change with Toni Udarevic making way for André Hahne in the midfield.  With four minutes left in regulation our last change saw Adolf Nissenbach come off to be replaced by Pepe Zuca.

The game ended after a few minutes of injury time and we maintained our 2nd position in the league.  Another good performance against a managerless team, but you can only beat those teams put up against you.
