As the full-time whistle blew celebrations commenced as Toulouse clinched the Div 5:20 title with a 2-0 win over second-placed Kringsjå IL.
A commanding performance Toulouse were the stronger of the two sides for the full game but it wasn't until the 74th minutes that they took the lead. In his last season Cosbuc making a rare appearance, this season slammed his penalty with all the cool of a veteran campaigner into the back of the net. With nerves jangling the game was finished off ten minutes later as who else but Panyushkin slotted home from long range. The final whistle saw the Stade des Minimes erupt as finally, Toulouse climbed there way free of the lower tiers.
We caught up with Captain and club hero Cosbuc at full time; "It's amazing, I haven't got on the pitch much this season but I have loved every moment and tonight is special! To be asked to step up take the armband here means a lot and I am just dead chuffed to have put that penalty away. I cannot wait until the next game I hope to make a farewell to the fans and we will make it a proper send-off! Up the Toulouse! Up the Lions!"
With one game remaining it allows Toulouse the chance to get some valuable DV but boss Moss stated his insistence that with the importance of the game on promotion places he will not be taking it lightly.
