Unbelievable, Jeff! |
Any Jacks Loons fans leaving The Cludgie after 54 minutes when Under Siege FC scored their second goal to go 2-0 up after dominating proceedings and giving The Hoops a lesson, must have scratched their heads in amazement when they heard the final score.
Although Stephen Carson reduced the defecit within 4 minutes with a rasper from the edge of the box, things looked bad for The Loons when influential midfielder Raymond McCoy was carted off injured and midfield substitute Russell Peacock had already been deployed just one minute earlier.
Defender Campbell Munro was drafted in as a replacement, and he set up right back Alan Campbell for the equaliser with 7 minutes remaining when The Loons broke away as Under Siege pressed for the clincher.
With regulation time nearly up Brian Jennings poked home the winner to complete the comeback during a goalmouth scramble. There were wild celebrations, both on and off the pitch, when the final whistle was at last blown, after 4 minutes of added time.
"Crazy game, but I'll take the three points", said Loons' boss Jacksgranda, as Under Siege manager, Seagal, looked on, somewhat bemused by the turn of events; and who could blame him.
