Amazing debut season in Division 2
Borgis FC surpassed all expectations in their debut season in Division 2 after finishing second in 2c behind the best team in the whole division. Borgis very nearly won promotion to Division 1 via the play-offs but lost out in extra-time against Bauhaus FC in dramatic fashion. It was an epic first campaign that had so many positives, which is why manager Adam Moran is left feeling confident for the new season ahead.

"Well there's no denying I was probably the most shocked person at how well we performed this season. Before it began I was worrying so much and saying how unprepared I felt the team was, especially defensively given how little depth we had in terms of quality and quantity. I signed 21-year-old Brad Geer and essentially threw him into the lion's den but boy he came good. The whole defence was mightifully brilliant all season. Gard Lokkeberg, our best player, was the most injured player in Division 2c and yet he was the MVP. That shows how amazing he is but also how much more pressure our defence had to deal with and yet we had the best record. Uthiem had the most clean sheets in the league. Amazing.

"We also boasted the top goal scorer in Snorri. So really we couldn't have done any better. In the end we had the best team in the whole of Division 2 ahead of us and no one could catch them. Unfortunately we had a great chance to qualify for Division 1 but lost out against a great Bauhaus team. In the end though I wasn't even disappointed, just so happy and thankful at how well we performed all season. Losing just once in fourteen games was phenomenal.

"And now we have to do it all over again! The team has really peaked now given the ages of our best players which is a shame because it would have been perfect to be in Division 1 this season and have one good crack at getting to the top league. However we never give up so I hope we can continue our good form. We start the new season against the best team away from home which will be tough, however that means we have the rest of the season to put pressure on them and chase them all the way!"
