Optimistic awakening
Grieving Cod Rovers' manager OrphanedPuffin has caused a stir after he recently underwent a spiritual quest through a Colombian jungle.

Puffin, whose side only ever come 5th, has described how he put himself through great challenges and ordeals to conquer his fears:
"It was an awakening. I arrived in the jungle a boy and I left a bigger boy. I drank gnat urine, mushrooms and my tribe leaders spit mixed together. A snake tried to bite me, one with venom so strong it could kill one of those carnies who spin the waltzers at the travelling fair. I picked the snake up and bit it's loins off.

"I then had to build my own hut, I made it out of the skin of my tribe leader who was sleeping so I thought he wouldn't need it. I left after 4 days. Things entered my body I never wish to speak of again, both orally and bottomly. Right now, I feel more alive than I ever have and I really hope this translates on the pitch and we secure that 4th spot we desire."

The season starts with a cup match against a division 6 side on Thursday. New signing Bruce McClure is believed to be in contention with starting after he overcame his hemarroid problem.
