Rare Signing For FCV

FC Vitorul made a rare foray into the transfer market this week when the club announced on Wednesday that they had signed young defender Ilídio Anacleto.  A rather steep 2.2m fee was spent in adding the 19 year old to the squad. It is hoped that the minimum of twelve fixtures remaining will be sufficient to move the 19-5 up a skill level by season close, then see of any potential double rise next season. The patience to wait for the right player has paid dividends with the stable squad beginning to show greater depth.  An additional prospect up front and and at least one added to the midfield, will be the final layering of the squad.  Having waited eight months for this most recent addition, could another couple of buses arrive in close proximity? The squad stability is further reflected this week as a couple of players acquired their yellow hearts.  Hao Fang Ny will soon follow, meaning more than half of the squad are long term assets.  With minimal reliance on veteran experience and increased rise in development level, the long term future of FCV appears to be in safe hands.
