Manager of the MIA |
Top of the table clash. 3 games to play. This is a fixture the players hope to turn up and play their best, to put some daylight between them and Neutralino WIMPs who are breathing down our necks. To their dismay, their manager was nowhere to be found, leaving them to fend for themselves. 'Have no fear, we play to the default tactics,' said the captain Esparteiro.
And things got off to a terrible start. Within 10 minutes of kick off, the useless lot were 2-0 down, looking set to throw the game. Star man Ahmad Simonovic was predictably ganged up upon every time he touched the ball.
Things don't look like changing, with Neutralino WIMPs having an iron grip on the game. But after an hour of play, Neutralino made a triple substitution, bringing in 3 youngsters for 3 seniors. The most notable thing was that 2 of the 3 defenders were replaced. Suddenly, the momentum swung in our favour. Within minutes, Sven Gavez found space to head one in. 10 minutes later, Simonovic scored from a free kick, and Dejan Radan completed the comeback.
Although absent for the match and only rated 3 stars for his no show tactics (even Neutralino manager has 4 stars), yours truly is still the Manager of the Week. How that happened, is up to anyone's guess.
