Harsh Lesson
After a full season of attempting to develop the young inexperienced players, Callaway FF manager 7paddy spoke confidently of his team's ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Apparently he assumed that, once he fielded all of his stars, the goals would come early and often. That was not the case, and he learned the harsh lesson that you can't just "turn it on" whenever you want. A good football team is about consistency, teamwork and a culture of winning. Despite playing the lowly Doncaster Bruisers, who are managerless, Callaway FF only managed to eek out a 1-0 win, with the lone goal coming in the 79th minute, only after Doncaster had a man sent off. Callaway FF and manager 7paddy will have a lot to think about in their next season at the bottom of the tiers. Hopefully for the Callaway faithful they can put together a better program.
