No cigar
After last week's disappointment Gmswjambo told Sons of Apollo to pull their socks up against Newpark FC in the second of the mis-season doublers.
The boys responded with an excellent defensive performance. All that was missing was the winning goal - though youngster Bosson was unfortunate to have his goal chopped off early in the second half.
In addition, Araujo had to be taken off midway through the opening period, with coffin-dodger Vreven replacing him.
All in all Gmswjambo is satisfied with the way things went and hopes to get back to winning ways against Kung Fu Hustle next week. There's no point dwelling on a result that falls into the "ones that got away" basket.
