Rovers Scrape past Livi
After dropping their first points of the season against AFC Wrexham, where frankly Rovers were lucky to get a point, Rovers were sluggish again against Livi at the weekend. It was only thanks to a strong defensive performance and a sweet Borko freekick that saw them escape Airlie Park with three points. Rovers went into the game missing their most experienced striker Bleasdale with recent signing the 17yo Kania deputising. Manager Jkbam though the team should still be strong enough to get the win but they barely got out their own half in the first 60 mins and it wasn't till Borko's FK goal against the run of play and Livi introducing some younger subs, that they finally made some inroads into Livi's defences. Strikers Trott and Kania both missing good chances at the the end, but that would have just been rubbing salt in the wounds after their smash and grab win. Season half way so Livi get an immediate shot at some payback at Deep Sea Fruit Park this Sunday.
