New "Community manager" for the site |
NEWS!
It feels at least kind of good to read that from the official part of Xpert Eleven in 2022 as well, right? I sure hope so at least!
With this press release I guess that I'm/we're introducing David/Boonen223/myself... well... ehm... yes, as the new so called community manager för Xpert Eleven!
Way to go in terms of a self introduction. And not the biggest, most important thing to happen to Xpert Eleven in ages in itself, for sure. BUT it might be a good indicator of what we're trying to do with the site right now at the very least!
I'm about to continue what is now 7-8 months of continuous work behind (and in front of) the scenes in trying to partly reinvite and reignite our media, and being someone who other managers on the site can bounce ideas with when it comes to the social elements of our community! This in addition to the other stuff that is being done with determination and, above anything else, sustainability in order to boost Xpert Eleven in the long(!) run.
You might also regard this press release as a sort of small, small way to "ease the anxiety" and at least partly adress some of the (100% rightful) pessimism about the earlier state of Xpert Eleven – and instead, hopefully, give all of you who are in it for the long run a certain sense of belief in the future.
I/we won't make any crazy, unrealistic promises of "WE'RE GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST SITE IN THE WOOOORLD!!!" - I might just be 31 years old, but I'm still to old for that kind of talk. But rather, for us, Xpert Eleven is a steady and slow, but sustainable, work in progress.
However I can finally say this officially as well as off the record – there is actually work being done! Both the fun and boring stuff. And we do have a looooongterm vision for our manager game, with continuity and incremental improvements with a sustainable work pace in mind.
Most of all, we don't have any intention of simply letting the game fade away or die out. Rather the opposite. The aim is hopefully better and more thought through than in a long time. The simple fact that I'm starting to work with our promising social network of people is proof in itself that we still think it is FUN with X11, make no mistakes about that - and we need to allow ourselves to continue have fun working with it once again and for the future.
If you have any suggestions, any advice, och questions relating to things such as:
1) Social media, such as the soon to be restarted Instagram/Facebook
2) Discord
3) Podcasts
4) Collaborations
5) Anything else regarding interaction between us as managers
Make sure to drop me a direct message! I'm also open for Skype, Discord, telephone, owl post, et cetera, et cetera.
Stay tuned – make sure to join our official DISCORD as well, and keep you eyes open for our official Instagram and Facebook to slowly, but surely, wake to life again together as we work this out.
Hopefully I wont drown in DM's about "what have you done the last so and so years?!!!" - as the "new guy in", I know for gods sake, that's why I'm trying to help out - but if you want to vent some built up frustration, sure, go for it - I did so myself before starting to help out instead ;)
David, "Boonen223"
