What a quarter-final clash in the Xtreme League Cup, as Vårberg Maple Leafs edged past Vilarense in a dramatic penalty shootout after a tense 120 minutes of goalless football. Both sides huffed and puffed, but the net remained untouched until the shootout turned up the pressure.
It was Vilarense who blinked first-and second-and third. Three missed penalties from Colls, Griffith, and Zahirovic left their fans in disbelief. Vårberg, by contrast, were calm and clinical. Amado Targino, Oliver Scholze, and the unlikely hero Tiny Tim all found the back of the net.
