Fine birthday present for Jens Lehmann
Happy birthday Jens Lehmann, and the club that bear his name served a nice birthday present for their inspirational figure by registering a comeback win over Plainwell Trojans at the Mad Jens Arena today.
However they have to do it the hard way when Trojans went ahead through Jed Rowson who headed the ball past young goalkeeper, Ingo Schrage who had came on for the injured Torben Wittenberg in the 18th minute.
It seemed the visitors would be going home with all three points until four minutes from time when Lothar Krahn headed home a Malte Krause corner. Two minutes later two substitutes combined to score the winning goal when Aaron Wehlmann found Klaus Waffenburg with a pass before the latter decided to let fly from outside the box.
It totally caught Clifford Southall by surprise and he was just a mere spectator as the ball hit the back of his net, much to the delight of the home fans.
