I'm very happy to claim the XCL trophy one more time and more important, to me at least, it's the fact that my strategy with youths to keep the team at the right average age for a longer period, until the oldies retire, paid off nicely. It's not very common to get players to skill 20-22 so it would have been a shame to let the team die earlier.
Not gonna lie, we had our share of luck this season in XCL, especially when Rasenball Leipzig missed their tactics in the 2nd leg of the QFs, but we also contributed with some very inspired tactics at the right moment and in the end we managed to claim the trophy with just 1 goal conceded in 13 games. In the final I said that efficiency will be the key, I meant it, I was right and prepared for it.
Now we need to refocus on Xtreme League, we are aiming for an 8th consecutive league trophy and 9th in total but after 4 games we are only in the 4th place, 3 points down from the leader, losing already several important points. It's the first time we are not the favorites anymore and everyone will want to take us down, 4-5 teams having the right tools to do so as well: strength & manager skill. I'm welcoming the battle though, 10 more games, 10 finals for us.
