| Will I see out my X11 dream? |
Having signed up to Xpert Eleven in 2007, as a 12 year old!, I loved it. Now of course after a good 4/5 years of playing it life took over and I left.
I rejoined in 2019, 5 years ago now (wow! What happened to those years??) My aim was to build a proper team in the official leagues from scratch, something I never attempted as a team hopping teenager!.
And so here we are, reaching the top division after all this time. Unfortunately, life has thrown its curve balls and hasn't been a linear path like it is with building a young team, watching them gain skill bars as the seasons go by.
I have loved, I have lost. I have suffered life altering illness and today I write this press release with sadness, knowing I am unlikely to achieve my Xpert Eleven dream, let alone my life dreams.
My dream was to win the league or cup, and compete in the XCL. But regretfully it is looking unlikely that I have that time. My final Xpert Eleven wish will be that whoever takes over (I will not resign, but continue fighting) that whoever takes over this team after my 2/3 absence leads to my sacking can take this team, and this man, to his Xpert Eleven dream.
Time flies, cherish the good moments when they descend upon you, for you know not when they can be taken from you. Good luck and best wishes to everyone.
