Ruined plans all over, what now? |
The massive disappointment in the CR has passed and the management has done some massive realignment of plans since the update.
First of all, Gunnar Bartel being a 10.5 not showing as 11 skilled is a complete disaster. The last few decimal points are screwing up the economic progression massively. The same goes for Ove Gjutenberg being .4 in his skill span. Both will be evaluated a few rounds into the season to see if they could DJ or if they will be sold as under evals.
The second massive disappointment are the two strikers that after a decent and a great CR has failed to DJ with both being very high in their skillbands. The plan to sell both and replace with a mentor has had to go out the window and both should DJ easily this season. This puts the entire front end of the team in a situation where mentors are lacking impacting everyone's development. Hopefully, form can be kept high enough that this becomes a minor issue.
Third, the team is stuck with two goalies with chance to DJ. This is somewhat mitigated by one of them being able to play d/mf/St to gain some experience but it is still not smart to keep both. The management, however, feels like they have to try.
On a positive note, roughly 20M will still be brought to the coffers through sales of talent and the new guys are a mix of guys with visible skills and hard trainers who should fetch a decent price in a season or two. Depending on Bartel and Gjutenberg one or two defence talents might be sold halfway through the season hoping to gain a few econs on them as underevals.
Luckily for the slightly too large squad, the first cup opponent should be a be easily conquered giving some extra experience. The premiere is on Friday and the team is prepared with decent form for it!
