Cup Final!
South Hooligans have reached its second successive cup final following a 2-0 win over Division 1 team 1314 Bannockburn in the semi finals.

The game was all 1314 Bannockburn for the first 10-15 minutes as we struggled to settle on such a big occasion. Our key forward, Jermaine Frost, was slightly injured, and then 1314 Bannockburn found the back of the net in the 10th minute... fortunately for us, it was ruled out for a foul!

The disallowed goal was the wake up call we needed, as the boys gradually took control of the game from that point. Derek Bowling scored on our first opportunity in the 17th minute and we went into the break with the slender 1-0 lead.

The boys came out firing in the second half with a few good chances, and we doubled our advantage to make it 2-0 (and feel a little safer!) in the 59th minute thanks to a Jack Theakston header. We held on from there and progressed through to face one of the strongest and most impressive teams in all of the Dream League.

Sporting C. de Portugal scraped past Yarmouth Town FC in the other semi, 5-4 on penalties. Sporting are currently 3rd in the top division and their squad, whilst already amazing, is still so young overall. They've got a big future of major trophies ahead of them under a great manager in Lufinha... our difficult job is to try and not let that happen next week!

Whatever the result, we are really happy to back up last season's cup win by proving it wasn't a fluke and making it to the decider again. We're in for a great game!
