Mid season review

We sat down and had a chat with Philisco this week to see how he felt about the progress Athletic were making :- "Last season we finished at the bottom and we didn't score a single goal. To be mid table with four wins and with 15 goals I think the progress speaks for itself. When I took over I made it clear that it was my intention to build a team for the future, thankfully the board and the fans have come along with me. Its easy to desire instant success in this game but that can be a very short lived.  We still have a very long way to go but I honestly believe we have the basis of a squad that is going to lead us to better things. I am under no illusion that promotion is not on the table this season, but with what i'm seeing on the pitch right now i wouldn't rule it out for the next." An honest assessment from Philisco, one thing for certain is that he has got a buzz going around this place. We wish the team well for the second half of the season.
