Bellshill Battlers faced off against Beard Brothers in todays game, a game that manager Playtheyoof said would be the toughest of the league campaign, an away trip to the team second in the league who also boasted a 100% record to this point. It was Bellshill who came out on top though with a thumping 4-0 win. Joe Henry, Gareth Bale, Gilbert Guthammar and Gwladus Denton got the goals that see Bellshill open a three point gap at the top of the table, with a maximum 21 points from their opening 7 games. "Another good day for us today. Once again the young lads played well and we now have 7 players under the age of 18 with a DV of 17 or more. As we're at the half way stage I'd really like to see that increase further so that we're in a good position for next season. We will have to dip in to the market for another midfielder or two as Gareth Bale will be retiring and without him we will only have one experienced midfielder."
