Parkway Forest FC's flying start to the season was rudely grounded by back-to-back 2-0 home losses, first in the League to Slim United and then in the Cup to FC LULE. Manager codespyder warned that his team needed to stop being so complacent. "I can't even remember the last time we lost two games in a row, let alone twice in a row at home. That's a wake up call for us because this season and this division was always going to be difficult. I think our bombastic start to the season hid our defensive frailties, and now that the goals have temporarily dried up, those frailties have been exposed." Questions have been raised over the rather young defensive line, with new signing B.C. Hagerth and goalkeeper Phil Goram coming under particularly scrutiny: "B.C. is a very talented player who needs time to bed in. In the long term I think he'll be exceptional for us. As for Phil, you have to be patient with keepers and let them make some mistakes now so they can improve for the future. "Promotion this season would be nice. But right now we need to focus on winning the next game and turning it around. Tactically I've got to be cleverer as well. It seems like the opposition are doing a good job of sussing us out and it's down to me to change that."
