| FC Adrenochrome.....are back! |
It was Season 20 of the Xpert Champions League (XCL) when Adrenochrome claimed their one and only XCL title under the skilful management of Gildar. It has been a good 20-25 seasons since this team has seen those happier times. Many of seasons of neglect has seen the once mighty team slip into Division 6 where it finds itself today.
Along came manager Dazcreed, one of the lesser known veterans of X11, who has been looking for a project to resurrect one of the fallen giants of this game for several seasons now. He was managing a team in Division 1 of the Xpert International league when the opportunity presented itself. After much consideration and with a bit of assistance from the X11 hierarchy the impossible happened.
Unfortunately, Dazcreed was a bit disappointed with what he received - a team with only 12 players and very little econ (only enough to buy 1-2 players). However the new manager commented brightly, "there's plenty of potential here, except for the 22 year old 2 skill defender who the club will not allow me to sack."
To the manager's amazement they managed to secure an away victory in his first game in charge, over the previously undefeated Ellan Vannin FC, which just confirms that there is plenty of potential in this squad once the manager gets their form back up to scratch. Maybe there is still time this season to make a push for promotion, although Dazcreed has stated that his priority for the remainder of the season is player development... so we will just have to see what happens.
But one thing is for certain..... Adrenochrome are back!
