It's Goodbye....
For now..

I'm taking a break from the main Xpert Leagues, it's been a long time coming I think and the move to Alpha Andromedae did keep me here a while longer, the battles with Cloggie and kept me busy for a while and some of the best competition I've had in this league, great fun.

Struggling with funds has been a real thorn in the side and whilst I don't expect to be handed econ on a plate, I really have struggled to sustain training and developing for the future at the same time as trying to compete with the best. There have been many econ draining features in the game over the years and well they seem to hit some more than others from experience. The Youth Academy is still unfair, there will always be those who support it, but paying 200k - 300k and being offered talents (lol) of 19/4 and 20/4's is quite ridiculous.

Achieving 200k a week from writing pressers and paying 200k-300k a week in the sheer hope of a decent talent along with training fees is a terrific way of draining funds. With not many decent youths coming through and even less ending up on the transfer market has made it even more difficult to purchase decent players as they are now so rare to see in the transfer market. The econ gained for writing press releases has not increased in all the years I've played the game, ok training fees have not increased but we now have to gamble to receive decent players and pay lots for them when they appear in the transfer market.

I recently received a 16/5 in one of my private leagues, but I think its about time considering I've been playing this game for nearly nine real life years, one brilliant player in one team in nine years..I'm not ungrateful, I'm completely grateful but 9 years to receive such a player c'mon.. What are the odds?

I also remember when varying formations mattered in the game, the dominance of the five man midfield took away unpredictability for the most part. Recently I have found 5-4-1 working well, there needs to be further progress to make 5-3-2 and 4-3-3 playable again. These are all just my opinions by the way.

Anyway I don't wish to leave the team/league having a great big moan, because I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Classic League, my time as admin was one of the best eras for me personally on the game, the league was a hype of activity and the assistants who supported me through the role were the unsung heroes of the Classic League, those guys worked hard behind the scenes putting time and effort into the league keeping up with reading pressers, player name and team name approvals, its not just a case of accepting anything, we have rules and guidelines to follow and it all takes time, dedication and effort and for that I applaud them all.

Alpha Andromedae all players have a green arrow, player forms are good, those that require more training are currently in training.

There is around 2 million in the kitty, sorry it isn't more but thats pretty much what I inherited when I took the team over. Please look after the team, I'm saying this on behalf of Updalions as that was his request when he left the team, most of all good luck to whoever take the team on.

TTFN its been a blast....
