Tribute to Harriet Smith
The RPSM directors have announced that, as a tribute to lifelong fan Harriet Smith, the team will be sporting a rather fetching knitted kit for the final match of the season.
"It is only right that we should pay our respect to Harriet. She had seen the club through the good and bad times and, apart from an aberration when her first husband forced her to support PSG (for which he was, quite rightly, imprisonned for life), has always attended our home matches whilst knitting for the country.
"In view of the recent display of extra icons on shirts, the football authorities didn't have a leg to stand when we suggested the wearing of a knitted team kit.
"And it is, therefore, with great pride that we will pay tribute to Harriet while sporting our kit inspired by her second hobby."
