Out with the old, in with the old
A frenetic end of season of activity has led to the departure of RPSM stalwarts Björn Granqvist, Cal Judd and Marc Charles-Alfred at the end of the season. Manager Marcellin Caillou justified his decision thus:
"I am always sorry to let players go but we have to think about the club in the long term. Björn was one of our top players with 84 games, 26 goals, 37 assists and 8 Xpert11 selections. If we could bring through the ranks another three player like him, I would be a very happy manager. Cal Judd played even more games, 91 in all, with 14 goals, 30 assists and 13 Xpert11 selections. Marc Charles-Alfred was no less important in defence with 63 games and 6 Xpert11 selections.
"Staying on with us are three players who just ruled the league last year: Iacob Lane was an ever present in the Xpert11 selection and he was closely followed by Murdo and Sobieslaw.
"Two other good events in the last season was the lack of injuries and the lack of yellow or red cards. Always useful in a succesful season.
"This new season is likely to be very difficult. Old foes in the form of AD Trinidad, Elms United. Liverpool FC and the Farce are going to prove difficult challenges. Maybe even Coja.
"And not to intefere or nothing but, yeah, Guzonja has to go, along with Zeshin.
"Right, back to the transfer market."
