Cosmic trigger
"Oh blimey," Matchstick Men manager Tony Brazil expresses the feelings of all home fans at the Estadio Lucifer on the final whistle in the Xpert Champions League match. The whistle is greeted half with cheers and half with awe as everyone wonders what will happen after this.
"The group favourites COSMOS lost here today, a result that in reality should never have happened," explains Brazil, "but it did. It rocked the team COSMOS but how has this affected the greater scheme of things in the astronomical Cosmos? Astrophysicists I know are heading for the hills.
"Until the apocalypse strikes we carry on as usual, with this win and going top of the group being our trigger," Brazil smiles, "our cosmic trigger if you like, for Matchstick Men to progress and become one of the major clubs in the Xpert 11 universe.
"Back on planet Earth it is possible that COSMOS could now fail to qualify for the group stages, that will cause a seismic stir, but for now we concentrate on our Xpert League cup match which means a trip to the Xpert Arena," Brazil looks to the skies, "should it still be standing in a few a days time, if the apocalypse is delayed."
