Punch! It's like a boxing ring sometimes
"It's good to be back home," delights Matchstick Men manager Tony Brazil, "our last three matches have been away but tonight we faced Suffolk Punch here in the cup. A goal in each half sees us through to the next round, which is further than we got last season. Great stuff.
"The previous three matches are more thought provoking though, starting with the first leg of the cup tie where we only scored on the ninetieth minute to get a one one draw. Then we lost at Jaes in the league despite controlling the game, followed by a thrashing in the Champions League by COSMOS," Brazil is wistful, "that was due to the spectacular backfiring of my damage limitation tactics.
"Our home win tonight against Punch begins a repeat of the three matches but this time all at home," Brazil puts on a pair of boxing gloves, "we took the punches in the first three matches and now we are giving them back in the following three. First to the floor is Suffolk Punch. Punch and knock out blow! One down. Xpert eleven is like a boxing ring sometimes."
