Looking for improvement
After last season's final day relegation escape, United boss Chippy is looking for improvement to his side's performances for the forthcoming season.
"Last season we had a complete shocker and we can't allow ourselves to be anywhere near that standard again. We were hoping to freshen things up this year and sell one or two older players. However, Madjer and Gil have decided to hand their retirement notices in so we'll need to make do with them for one last season.
Although we can't expect to buy 2-3 players all in one go next season so we're currently on the look out for a young defender in our succession planning."
United play in the first round of the cup on Friday.
