Two big results for Pyla Village One this week as they pull off a shock win in the Cup at Arkham Legends and squeeze past Gwernfadog United in the league.
Neither Village nor Legends could manage a goal in 210 minutes of open play with both sides seemingly eager to exit the competition at this stage. The subsequent penalty shoot-out followed the same goal-shy pattern but Pyla shaved it at 3-2.
The visit of Gwernfadog was another occasion when fans were grateful for having bought a programme to read as chances were few and far between. In fact the only decent one either side conjoured up led to the winning goal from Stig-Olof Allhed. As a result, Pyla hop over United into 4th position.
