Painful practice
Over the years I've developed the habit of disregardiong teamwork values entirely when buying 16 year old talents. After all, by the time they become important to the team that will have sorted itself out right?
It does mean that I need to find ways of giving all those poorly compatible puppies their minutes on occasions like the prep games for a new season. This in turn can lead to some pretty poor results.
Onwards now to the next season. We are about as ready as we're going to be, but I have to admit I'm not optimistic. Our midfield is probably not strong enough to allow a challenge for promotion and if we get unlucky with some injuries in that line we might even be in real trouble.
The way it looks on paper, we have one hell of a fight on our hands to stay up and if we lose that fight I might opt for a complete rebuild instead of the purgatory that is divisions 2 and 3. Time will tell!
