Tight At The Top And The Bottom
It's still early days in the season, but Division 6:45 is proving to be a cracker! After 5 matches we have 3 teams without a defeat, and 4 teams without a win. The top 4 teams are separated by 2 points, and the bottom 4 separated by 2 points. One of those still undefeated is Stoatly's Chichester City who run out 3-0 winners at home to Midnight Riders. It wasn't any easy game, and could have been a lot different had Midnight Riders not had their opening effort after 7 minutes chalked off. The rest of the first half was a bit touch and go, but on 32 minutes Chichester broke the deadlock and went in at half time 1-0 up. In the first half there were bookings and injuries, just to add to the tense and nervy match being played out. New signing Akameah Timitimi had a debut to remember, and then to forget. He got a yellow in the first half after 18 minutes, then scored the third goal with a sublime header in the 79th minute, and then proceeded to get himself sent off in the 84th minute. It could have been 4-0 but another goal was disallowed in the 91st minute, and then right at the death, Midnight Riders had Ismael Veliz sent off after he'd picked up his first booking after only 6 minutes in to the match. It meant that both teams ended the game with 10 players each.
Chichester City next face Ciudad de La Habana at Estadio Pedro Marrero. It's only their second home match of this season so far, and that ended with a 2-0 loss to Club de Cuervos. Chichester City will be hoping to pile on more misery, as well as keep up their quest for the Division Title this season.
