Play Off Joy For Old Quarter Pro
Old Quarter Pro are today celebrating promotion to Division 4 following their tense 1-0 play-off victory over Atletico Nacional at the Xpert Arena.
It was a cagey affair between two sides fighting it out for the last time of the 66th season on Pro League football, and the match saw only 3 chances created overall.
One of those chances fell to Old Quarter Pro striker Gerardo Lamborgi in the form of a free kick following a foul from Benicio Mozart, who also received a caution in the process.
Lamborgi stepped up to take the free kick, and hammered home for the only goal of the game, and set up a famous victory for Old Quarter Pro.
The side was taken over by new owners Capsule Social earlier in the season, and their late surge has brought joy to supporters old and new. Now the attention must switch to next season, and the next challenge that they must face.
