Infinity Land Cup Winners!!
An historical day for the club. Infinity Land secured the Golden League Cup earlier this afternoon, with a tight fought one nil win over Ravens in the final. It is their first time they lay hands on a major piece of silverware.
Njanke fired Infinity Land into the lead in the second half with a superb strike. The captain, leading by example, and in one sweet strike ensures the money paid out for him those years ago was worth it.
Of course, it wasn't just about the skipper and his goal. Infinity Land managed a clean sheet thanks to the performances from the defence, in particular Thulin who came out as MVP. Again, the massive outlay the club had paid out for him just as a 17 year old paying off.
"I am over the moon" manager Robinson says. "We've been working on this project for a good number of years now, and I am so glad it has paid off. You know this is an exciting day and we're just going to soak it all in. The dream can't last forever, and we are just going to enjoy next years Champions League."
Manager Robinson somewhat eluding to the poor financial state the club currently sit in. That's why the cup win is so monumental. With the bank dry, it would have been hard for them to mount a serious challenge in any competition next year.
Nonetheless, excitement bodes for all involved in Infinity Land. A huge day for the club and one that will be etched in to the history books.
