Sir Rudi Skacel FC
Division 4i
Manager: Jambosteve86

Disappointing Start
Jambosteve86 was a miffed after the opening week of the season as his triple substitution ended up costing the side as they then had to play with 10 men for the last 25 minutes whilst losing his star man and a last minute goal. We also got a glimpse of a number of the younger lads last Saturday in the first leg of the cup at FC RO TEAM.

That's where we start and a trip to RO team arena last Saturday. There would be starts for 5 youngsters including a debut in goal for Levon Kalfian. We also got to see a frontline of Karamalian & Yepremian as the two teenagers got the nod to lead the line. It was the elder of the two that grabbed his chance after only 9 minutes with a long range shot that Marius in the home goal could not keep out. The away team were dominating proceedings and talisman Gurcan Erer doubled the lead on 34 minutes. A raft of changes on 55 minutes gave 3 other youngsters the opportunity to shine. There was a brief moment of despair as RO Team had the ball in the net 5 minutes later only for this to be chalked off. Yepremian did put the icing on the cake in the final minutes with his second and a convincing 3-0 win to start the campaign.

The opening game of division 4i had us travelling through to the dark side where we would take on Celtic Legends. Sir Rudi Skacel once again started the match quickly, skipper Samuel Tankian with a shot inside the penalty area that found the back of the net. The match was moving on quite nicely until Jambosteve made a triple substitution that this time would ultimately be the teams undoing. Just 2 minutes later on 57 minutes, a wonderful set piece saw the home side level the game when Ulrik Wallander got on the end of Carlsson's through ball. Then disaster as Gurcan Erer went down after a coming together with a home player and it looked a nasty one, he had to be stretchered off and we were left to see out the game with 10 men. It looked like the lads had managed to do the business until 2 minutes into stoppage time when Eamon Clare was free in the box from a corner and headed home to sent the home fans into raptures.

Further bad news after the game when we head that Erer will now be out until approximately 11th May. Not what we needed this early in the campaign and the rest of the lads will need to come together without their star man. We have the return leg of the cup up first where the youngsters will once again get their chance and then an important game at SC Zapatista in the league who took a hammering on matchday 1 and will no doubt have everything to prove.
