Elmswick FC Earn Play-In Berth
In a season defined by resilience and rebirth, Elmswick Ladies FC closed out their Division 6:4 campaign with a statement 2-0 victory over Immortal Goddess, clinching second place and a coveted spot in the Division 5 promotion qualifier.
The result capped a strong 10-1-3 season - and marked a milestone in the tenure of manager Limbo, who led the team through their first full campaign. With the benefit of a full offseason to implement tactics, shape the squad, and forge chemistry, Elmswick showed both consistency and character in one of the league's toughest groups.
"The growth from day one to now has been incredible," said Limbo. "Getting a full preseason with this group made all the difference. The players bought in, stepped up, and made this season one to be proud of."
Elmswick now prepares for a high-stakes showdown against Heffnersklubbans BK in the Division 5 play-in match, scheduled for May 8th. The two teams have never met before, adding a layer of unpredictability to a match that will decide the club's promotion hopes.
The season was headlined by the midfield brilliance of Beatrice Jennehed, who finished third in the league in points, assists, and X11 team selections, earning widespread respect as a creative engine and vocal leader.
The campaign also marked a major investment in youth, with new signings Sabina Halldin (19, D), Endah Pendek (20, MF), and Ester Normlund (18, F) joining the ranks. Alongside breakout talents Helena Isachsen and Geta Mât, Elmswick's next generation is already shaping the club's competitive edge - and its identity.
