Growing Pains

Sporting Sakura FC have continued to struggle in the early stages of the season.
After the early cup exit, there was a bright spot with a 2-0 win over Royal Ladies FC in Division 6:50 play. They played another close match today leading to a narrow 2-3 defeat to Leoas Futebol Clube. Today's match ended in a particularly heartbreaking fashion, with star Midfielder Kitty Bent scoring a critical own goal in the 80th minute on a back pass. This broke the deadlock and dashed the team's hopes of returning home with a point.
When asked for comment, Jbgk24 said:
"There is still much to fix if we want to succeed and have a chance to claim the division crown. We witnessed firsthand what happens when we lose focus. We need to ensure that mentally, especially at the end of games that we can remain disciplined and secure the result we need, especially when you play a team so close while on the road. We have to capitalize in these moments. That said, I know that Kitty and the team will learn a lot from this experience and work hard to ensure we are mentally tough to play 90+ minutes of our best soccer."
Sporting Sakura returns to action at home next week against Dragões F.C. with a chance to get their season back on track.
