Top 2 looking good
South Hooligans has edged past The Sweet Factory 2-0 in our overnight Round 11 clash and have now moved 8 points clear of 3rd with three games to play. We're still only behind league leaders Big Brown Bears by one single point, but we need to be realistic about our title chances... BBB finish the season with games against 5th, 7th and 8th, so the chances of them dropping any points from here are almost zero.
After our league failure last season though, guess we'd have to be happy with 2nd and a chance of promotion via a play-off... a win against the rebuilding Nimbin next week would secure that opportunity.
For now, our attention shifts back to the cup and our quarter final against top division team Zakleia FC. They've been on fire lately, having only lost once in their last 16 competitive matches, and are 3rd in the Dream League... so we feel our cup run may well come to an end this week! We'll give it a crack, but we feel whoever has a little luck on their side on the day will progress...
