Crucial victory! |
The Barrels suffered their first loss recently in the league against Four 2 Four, and let Bollissimo BK move ahead by one point after they tied their game. It was therefore incredibly important to achieve a win against A S S E, a team that should not be underestimated despite their horrible league position.
The Barrels were happy to be able to field a slightly injured Bernt Sivok again, as his importance in the team can not be understated. The team was quick to take the lead in the 26th minute through Gustaf Hed, but conceded a goal in the 82nd minute. A lot of people in the audience sighed, believeing that the chance of the first place had just disappeared.
In the 93rd minute, Rodolfo Legnazzi stepped forward to take the last kick of the game. The super talent sent the ball straight into the net, and it is safe to say that he established himself as the future freekick-taker of the team. The team won with 2-1, and secured an incredibly important three points.
The team is now at 18 points, one point behind Bollissimo BK and three points in front of Petersborg FC. The next game is at home against Petersborg FC, and it is safe to say that it will be the most important game of the season for The Barrels (apart from, perhaps, the upcoming game against Bollissimo BK). A victory against Petersborg FC would practically secure a top two spot.
Development is going well overall for the team. Ignoring Bernt Sivok, the average development value of the squad is at 15,7. The two biggest surprises of the season is the defenders Klyde Huntington and Ole-Andreas Almaas, who are both at 18 DV. The two super talents Rodolfo Legnazzi and Quentin Stonebridge are both performing well, being at 16 and 17 DV. Hopefully, all four of them can increase their DV by at least one.
The form is absolutely amazing across the team, and the only player currently in form training is Bernt Sivok as all other players have extremely solid form (with Quentin Stonebridge having the lowest form of the team [apart from Bernt Sivok] at 16).
