Final day drama!

Gwernfadog United won the the league title and promotion on the final day of the season. United needed to better Eastlander's result and they did it in style!. "We absoulstely battered Imortal from start to finish. My players were hungry to win the titile and it was a complete onsalught all game! We created a dozen chances but only converted a quater of them. "Even when we beat Imortal 3-0 I was still doubtful that Swans would take any points of Eastlanders. However, I was left stunned and shocked when I quickly discovered that Swans beat them 3-1! "The fans, players and I were all estatic! If Eastlanders had won we would have come second on GD, even though our head to head record was better. In the end, we deserved to win the title overall, despite not scoring too many goals this season. "We'll be excited to play at our highest level ever next season. We'll have a job on our hands to stay up. We'll be up there with the big boys now, so there won't be any easy games. "Good luck to Eastlanders in the play-offs tonight and a special thanks to Swans for putting in a peformance to help us win promotion, even though they only had third place to play for."
