AC Rossoneri were in scintillating form today when they swept aside fellow promotion chasers Socket Brasov 3-0 at the San Siro. Their victory in what was probably their best performance of the season so far, keeps their title hopes alive. Division 6:39 will now go down to the last game at the San Siro as the Milanello side welcome league leaders Teddys Heroes.
We spoke with delighted Rossoneri manager Roberto:
"The lads were fantastic today, we said before the match we had to go and take the game to Brasov from the off and that's exactly what the boys did. Rod's goal inside five minutes set us off and there was no looking back after that with a second then a third and the game was over at half-time.
"We spoke at the break and I decided to tighten things up as we basically needed the win today or our title hopes were all but over. We dominated the second half, controlled the game and Rod was very unlucky to have his goal chopped off for our fourth, but the three points are ours and I could not be happier.
"This has been a tough division with four sides battling for the title, so I am not surprised it has come down to the final day and I am delighted we are involved in it. Teddys Heroes have been fantastic this season and it is going to be tough to beat them, but we are at home and it's in our own hands and I could not ask for more than that. Forza Rossoneri."
