Silverware long overdue

After a wholesome 45 seasons, EXT fans got to see the League cup finally lifted again. Going into the game on the back of some uneven form and constant battles with injury and suspensions the only thing going for EXT was the fact it was a neutral home tie. An elusive CARL-ISLE was caught after the game for an interview:

"It was a great game and a great cup run to be honest, I feel we controlled the final and got the result we deserved. Our tactics were solid but not perfect but the lads put on a good show and turned up when it counted. I couldn't ask for anything more, I'm delighted for everyone involved in the club, the players and of course the fans who deserve it as much as anyone."

When probed about the future of the club and what was expected CARL-ISLE added:

"There is no hiding or denying that we are performing incredibly well and doing so on a tight budget and with a lean squad. The youth academy let us down and as a result funding had to stop to keep the club running and provide for first team maintenance. We have also had some scrutiny from league rivals who shall remain unnamed but it's nice to show what we can do and achieve despite these odds against us. I'm not sure how far we can go but we will certainly always strive to be the best we can and give 100% for everyone involved."

The near future at least is certainly bright for EXT Massacre.
