FK Radnik Roystjina
Division 3d, Master League
Maniger: Janik17
Er, wow!
Nearly everything possible went right for FK Radnik Roystjina as they went nuts on Sunday at Boness Academy. The Roystonov side got off to a stupendous start, racing into a 3-0 lead by the 16th minute through goals from Kiril Mateev, Borut Grubic, and Ailbhe Mahony. That meant victory was more or less assured already, and it was just a question of the eventual margin. Sometimes teams would sit back in such situations, but that wasn't how the Radnik players were feeling in this one as another swift start to a half saw three further goals added between 45 and 60 minutes, the scorers this time being Vikram Bisht (2) and a second of the day for Grubic.
Radnik lost momentum briefly around the hour mark, shortly after making a defensive sub with Wilmar Concalves coming on for Melkon Karkazian. This was followed by a spell of Boness pressure that culminated in a consolation goal on 68 minutes. Concalves' team were merciless in their ribbing of him in the dressing room after the game. Radnik responded to the goal back by finding the target once more themselves, Denis Sforza sliding home in the 79th minute.

Radnik manager Janik said "Well, that was magnificent. However, there are no bonus points for playing well above expectations. We get three, just the same as if we had won 1-0. Hopefully, we can derive confidence from it though and use that performance as a springboard for the rest of the campaign"

The victory moved Radnik out of the Division 4h drop zone and up to third in the table. In more mundane news, Radnik's progress to Round 3 of the Master League Cup was pretty well assured at the draw, when that paired them with managerless Consett United. The first leg in North-East England was one-way traffic as expected, Radnik powering into a 4-0 half-time lead through a brace of goals from Vitomir Andrejevic and strikes by Vinko Cirilovic and Denis Sforza (both headers). Andrejevic's chances of a hattrick disappeared in the opening minute of the second half when Radnik 'keeper Cvetomir Zakov was sent off and Andrejevic was sacrificed to being on back-up for the day (but overall first choice) Stergios Pitsos. Despite being down to 10, it was Radnik who created all the remaining chances but they couldn't add to their first-half haul.
