"Keep Picking Up Points"
Parkway Forest FC have had a decent two matchweeks. Despite drawing with Tees Tigers at home last Saturday, Forest managed to stay 3 points up on Old Gohtza after they had managed to simultaneously draw Motala. The gap stayed the same after both teams own their games: Forest with an impressive 3-0 victory over Motala FC and OG with a 2-0 victory over Fir Manach.
After 11 games both teams have maintained a standard of excellence that has been impressive. Forest have scored the most goals and OG have had the best defence in the division. OG have effectively two games to turn around the deficit, as both teams have to play division whipping boys plopp in the title run-in. Weirdly enough, if OG manage to close the three point gap then the plopp game may decide the title on goal difference.
But all that is hypothetical. Forest have tough matches ahead against Fir Manach and Bologne FC, and winning is not guaranteed.
"We have to keep picking up points," said manager codespyder, "we have the more difficult title run-in and it is absolutely imperative that we do not let our standards drop. I've been encouraged that we've kept two clean sheets in a row in the league for the first time this season. Better late than never, I suppose. It would be brilliant if we could continue defending superbly.
"Whoever wins this division will have ultimately deserved it."
