Looking at the division table this season it seems very difficult indeed for JK and Platinum Stars. Season number 6 for JK and co and in unchartered territory. The press were very keen in asking the manager his thoughts:
"It will be our toughest season yet, there is no doubt there are many tougher teams then us and I have already placed the target to safety. Around 20 points mark will be a good start and then to finish at 25 will ensure survival.
"I don't expect to be fighting for the top places, we want to settle in the division and I have invested in a few players that can ensure we will have the strength to compete with other teams.
"My focus is on tomorrow's game because it is a very important match. I need to find my best 11 with the new additions, and from what I saw last season I don't expect too many changes. Barron and Leiros will stay with us until the end of the season and I have no plans to let them leave early, they are key to our survival and the new players Hooper and Salari are to add to our numbers.
"The cup comp is going to be interesting for me to play more youngsters and see how they cope, it will be another focus of ours and we hope to do better than last season. The window will end for us soon, so I will see what players are available and if we can add more young players then that would do well for our average age."
Good luck to all in the opening round.
