Ambivalence
The penultimate round of the season is but a mere hour away, and the Pro Memoria boss can barely contain his excitement. Considering how the thrilling game last Sunday against Ecosse's 1314 Bannockburn panned out the expectation is at an all-time high!
Last Sunday the visitors, 1314 Bannockburn, were missing a crucial part of their squad; their one and only viable goalkeeper. Something Pro Memoria clearly could have used to their advantage in a number of ways. And in a way they did just that. The home team managed to create two solid goalscoring chances from freekicks, and with those comes the behemoth that is Jan-Erik Bohm.
So what happened with those two chances you might ask? At a night where the away team had to replace their goalkeeper with an outfield player, thus making freekicks a piece of cake for a 19-skilled colossus like Bohm... Well guess again! Both of these chances concluded in absolute nothingness as the almighty game engine, praised be its excellence, decided that BOTH of the freekicks would result in crosses into the box instead of direct shots on goal.
With a 19-skilled freekick specialist that is to be expected of no? Specially during the circumstances of the opponents playing with an outfield player in goal. Nothing infuriating about that. Instead all you can do is to be in awe of the absolute masterpiece that is Xperteleven. That and cry yourself to sleep because of this game for the 478th time.
But hey, surely tonight's game will be a success, right? Right...?
